Seasonal sake. This style of extremely light nigori is akin to skin-contact aromatic white wine and ultra-fine rice sediment can be found upon close inspection. Highly fresh and elegant, this sake offers a floral, fruity nose with notes on the palate of peach skin, green apple and mango sticky-rice.
The light, fresh mouthfeel, fresh apple aroma, light sweetness, and gentle acidity are in harmony with the light, fresh mouthfeel only possible with nama-shu. Unique juiciness unique to light nigori sake.

Yamaguchi Sake Brewery, the brewer of "Niwa no Uguisu" is located in Kitano Town, Kurume City, in the northern part of the Chikugo region. The name of this place, Kitano-machi The name "Kitano" comes from the fact that the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto was the first shrine in Japan to be built in this area under the direct control of the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine about 1,100 years ago. Risuke Yamaguchi, the sixth generation head of the Yamaguchi family, saw a bush warbler flying into the brewery's garden every day from the historic Tenmangu Shrine to quench its thirst and play in the spring water. The sixth head of the Yamaguchi family, Risuke Yamaguchi, decided to start sake brewing using the clear spring water in 1832 to produce sake that would live up to the name of Tenjin-sama.
